SCOOP: Santa Cruz Co. supes challenge DCC on pesticides
			
			        The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors called on Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and the California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) to declare contaminated cannabis a public health emergency and overhaul how the state regulates pesticides in weed.
The resolution, which passed 5-0 in the Tuesday morning vote, would expand how California regulates pesticides and shift some of the responsibility for doing so from the DCC to other state agencies. It also calls on the county board and its staff to bring the resolution to cities, counties and government agencies in order to spur "collective action . . .
