Dozens of California lawmakers declined to answer questions from WeedWeek about whether the Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) is effectively regulating pesticide contamination in licensed product.
The 30+ lawmakers contacted represent more than 25% of the legislature. They include members of both parties, several in leadership and at least two physicians. Bills they have sponsored suggest a diversity of views on cannabis and the industry.
