BREAKING: Verano exposed private patient data: Lawsuit

A proposed class action lawsuit alleges Chicago-based MSO Verano exposed the patient data of more than 500,000 MED patients by printing their name and birthdate on dispensary receipts.

The action could lead to "staggering" harms the lawsuit alleges by potentially costing patients their gun rights, employment or federal benefits subject to revocation on account of cannabis use. "There is absolutely no basis for a patient's name and date of birth to be included" on receipts, the suit claims.
