Calif. to require testing for far more pesticides
New pesticide regulations are set to take effect in October. They will require lab testing for more chemicals, but give the industry 18 months to comply.
Currently the DCC requires products to be tested for 66 pesticides. Of these 21 "category 1" chemicals can't be present in any amount and 45 "category 2" chemicals can't be present above a restricted amount.
