The latest “atmospheric river” storm system to hit California in a month presents a new set of challenges in far northern California. Light deprivation growers and nurseries are running out of fuel for their generators. Authorities are organizing “Operation Hay Drop” delivering bales, via helicopter, to feed starving livestock. The Emerald Triangle is also cattle country.
