Much of that story has never been told in print or on film.” The history of cannabis in Sonoma County might be obscure, but it’s no less compelling than yours. North Bay Bohemian Ten years in the making, “Grass Roots: From Prohibition to Prescription,” an exhibit at the Museum of Sonoma County traces pot’s history from its roots as an illicit drug in the United States. Assembled with a historical mindset, despite a near-absence of official records, the project was buoyed when members of the community came forward and offered recollections, posters, flyers and photos Mercy Wellness, CannaCraft, Fiddler’s Greens, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Rogoway Law Group and Sonoma Patient Group supported this project.
