Newsbrief: Ohio AG sues MSOs alleging anti-competitive conduct

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost (R) sued nine of the largest MSOs for allegedly engaging in "anti-competitive conduct to reduce product choice and keep prices high." Such practices harm Ohio-based businesses and consumers, Yost alleges.
The defendants are Ascend Wellness, Ayr Wellness, The Cannabist Company, Cresco Labs, Curaleaf, Green Thumb Industries, Jushi, Trulieve and Verano.
The suit stems from a 2024 tip from an Ohio industry employee that alleged widespread “shelf-space allotments” among the defendants. large, vertically integrated cannabis companies operating in Ohio and nationwide, according to a press release from Yost . . .
