A recent article in Heavy Duty Trucking suggests that federally mandated cannabis tests for truck drivers, combined with more relaxed attitudes towards the plant could push good drivers out of the industry.
Among other issues, there are questions about how testing can be enforced and whether it can measure impairment accurately, especially when edibles and inhaled consumption methods take effect and wear off at different rates.
Further complicating matters, different kinds of tests each have their own quirks . . .
