WEED MEDIA IN CRISIS

The pandemic is taking a toll on the not especially healthy cannabis media world.

• Marijuana Business Daily said it is furloughing 30% of its staff for an indefinite period in response to the pandemic. 
• The company, which hosts the giant trade show MJBizCon in Las Vegas and several other large events, says it will focus on virtual events. 
• After postponing or cancelling three events, it plans to host MJBiz Con as scheduled in December.

Hightimes Holding Corp. said it had suspended publication of Dope and Culture magazines which are typically distributed free in dispensaries.
