Cannadelic Miami Brings Cannabis and Psychedelics Together at Florida International University

Something new is happening on the weekend of July 9-10, 2022 at Florida International University in Miami. The worlds of cannabis and psychedelics are coming together in a single event to dispel stigmas, promote science, and battle the mental health crisis. Cannadelic Miami FIU will feature top scientists and thought leaders speaking at a world-class venue, including researchers from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Ohio State University, and more. The event is the most accessible of its kind offering free admission for all to its expo and networking floor.

Presented in partnership with the Office of Pre-Health Services at Florida International University and the FIU Psychedelic Club, attendees have the opportunity to learn, earn and return. “We are thrilled to partner with FIU to make top-notch cannabis and psychedelic education accessible to all,” said Pete Sessa, conference organizer. “Cannabis and psychedelics have near limitless potential to help heal our minds in the midst of an unprecedented mental health crisis. Topics covered will include the future of mental health treatment, as well as cannabis and psychedelics for treating cancer, depression & addiction. While this is the first event held at a major university that brings these two industries together under one roof, the event will be live-streamed to a wider international audience. Cannadelic Miami’s goals also include protecting indigenous rights during the psychedelic renaissance, bringing more clinical research to Miami & FIU, and advocating for the full legalization of cannabis and psychedelic therapies in Florida.
