SCOOP: Calif. asks judge to toss $500M diversion suit
The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) asked a judge to throw out a $500M operator lawsuit alleging the agency allowed "an unchecked market to flourish through diversion schemes commonly known as burner distributors."
The lawsuit, filed in June by Kolaboration Ventures and other licensees, cites a California judge's determination, initially released in December, that the agency's use of track and trace system Metrc
