UPDATE 9/12/24: DCC Chief Deputy Director Rasha Salama is stepping down, effective September 30.

A former Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) official sued the agency this week, alleging she was retaliated against and fired after raising concerns about pesticide contaminated product and other regulatory breaches.

Former DCC deputy director of lab services Tanisha Bogans alleges she was sidelined and then terminated after DCC director Nicole Elliott repeatedly failed to act on whistleblower complaints about potency inflation and banned pesticides.
