Is federal legalization finally here? No one knows. But there have been more signs of a thaw between the industry and powerful GOP figures in Washington D.C.:

Among them:

• A senior Justice Department official defended U.S. Attorney General William Barr’s interest in cannabis anti-trust issues as to ensure consumer access.
  Marijuana Moment
• Conservative outlet National Review called federal legalization “the cure our COVID-ravaged economy needs.”
• Not exactly related: This month, President Trump commuted the sentence of operative Roger Stone. In 2017, I wrote about Stone’s support for legalization and ties to the industry.
