The California Department of Cannabis Control (DCC) asked a judge to throw out a $500M operator lawsuit alleging the agency allowed β€œan unchecked market to flourish through diversion schemes commonly known as burner distributors.”

  • The Tax Appeals Office ruled a license owner cannot be held personally liable as a transferee for more than $79,000 in unpaid taxes. The ruling is a loss for the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration. (CDTFA)
