Storz & Bickel are renowned for having created the best herb vaporizers on the market. The makers of the world famous Volcano Vaporizer, Storz & Bickel scored another hit in 2014 with the simultaneous release of their portable Crafty & Mighty Vaporizers – the company’s first (and very successful) foray into portable herb vapes.

Not one to reinvent the wheel; it has been nearly 10 years since Storz & Bickel have released a truly new vaporizer. The Venty Vaporizer release, announced on October 17th 2023 with Jürgen Bickel’s keynote speech introduced the world to the Venty. The Venty Vaporizer promises to be the most powerful, refined and efficient portable herb vaporizer to date.

The Venty Vaporizer improves on previous success while adding some new tech from research & development.

True to the name Venty [Ventus Latin for wind] the new Storz & Bickel release offers adjustable airflow, a first for any Storz & Bickel vaporizer. A small wheel on the cooling unit allows the user to adjust the airflow resistance much like gears on a ten speed bike.

Venti is also 20 in Italian. Fitting given that the new Storz & Bickel Venty heats up in 20 seconds. The fastest of any of their portable vaporizers yet. While the features which fit the name are great there is so much more, including the most important of all, function and vapor quality.

To permit the lighting fast heat up time and amazing vapor, Storz & Bickel had to kick up the power. The two 18650 batteries and improved circuit board give the Venty Vaporizer a maximum power usage of 130 Watts. This is some serious power for a portable herb vape.

The new mini heater utilizes the same hybrid heating (conduction and convection) found on the Crafty+ & Mighty+, but being smaller in size permits greater efficiency – heating up faster and using less battery power.

The Venty delivers the smoothest vapor via a new and improved cooling unit which elongates the vapor path and a double wall which ensures insulation from the outside. Yet the most impressive thing about the redesigned cooling unit of the Venty is the flow meter which measures the negative pressure of your inhalation and adjusts the temperature to remain consistent with the temperature the user has selected. With other vaporizers as you draw you are decreasing the temperature by the intrinsic nature of inhaling. The Venty’s technological refinements keep your vapor smooth and consistent throughout your session.

Looking at all the features the Venty offers, even over vaporizers like the currently #1 ranked Mighty+, it is clear the Venty is poised to be the new champion at the #1 spot.

It would make sense given Storz & Bickel’s track record.

While the Venty is receiving plenty of hype we still do not know how well the new Storz & Bickel vaporizer will be received. The Venty just hit the market and has not yet been reviewed by the public or experts, such as those at To the Cloud Vapor Store.

Critics on Reddit’s ever so popular vaporizer subreddit seem to be pushing back against the $450 price tag and the general consensus does seem to say, if you have a Mighty or Mighty+ just stick with that while the first wave of buyers test and review the new Storz & Bickel Venty.

Oddly enough when the Mighty was first released in 2014, it came at the same price tag of $450. This was during a day and age when most goods and services were much cheaper and far less people were vaping. The Digital Volcano (now discontinued for the Hybrid) was $670  and many happily paid up.

The last 6 years has seen a tremendous decline in the dry herb vape market in terms of demand and overall market share. While Storz & Bickel was able to charge $450 for a portable vaporizer in 2014 oddly enough that is getting some pushback 10 years later in 2023. Increased competition has seen herb vaporizer prices fall out and even PAX COO, Steve Jung stated in a Fast Company interview that herb vapes were a race to the bottom. source (https://www.fastcompany.com/90717421/paxs-new-vaping-pod-is-made-solely-from-pure-cannabis-is-it-any-healthier)

While Storz & Bickel Vaporizers  have historically come with a high price tag, don’t expect that to stop despite the grumbles of a few. Premium vaporizers command premium prices. Storz & Bickel Vaporizers are manufactured with food and medical grade components by experts in Tuttlingen Germany. Storz & Bickel is not some new fly by night arrival but a premium brand with a flawless record producing some of the best herb vaporizers around. The Venty appears to offer some well thought out enhancements and likely to take the MIghty+’s #1 spot as the best overall herb vaporizer on the market.
